Our Pageant

The idea for a pageant for neurodiverse conditions came from our Founder and Chair, Veronicah. In the dark days of the first year of the Covid 19 pandemic, Veronicah started the facebook page to raise awareness and provide information for parents of neurodiverse children. She noticed that during this time when it was not possible for people to go out and take part in community events a series of online pageants sprung up on the internet. Her first thought was to enter her son Peter James, but of course there was no event that allowed for neurodiverse children. Veronicah decided to start one.

What makes this pageant special is not just the children, but their stories. Very often they are stories of rejection, hardship and struggle in which only the unending love of mothers gave hope to these children. For the very first pageant there were only 18 contestants, but thousands of votes. Awareness was already being raised. You can read about each year’s pageant and the winners below.
