In Kenya
National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD)
The national council is a state corporation established by act of parliament in Kenya and set up in November 2004. The body is made up of representatives from important government ministries and organisations of persons with disabilities.
Mission
To promote and protect equalization of opportunities and realization of human rights for PWDs to live descent livelihoods.
Vision
A barrier free society for Persons with Disabilities.
ASD means Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Autism is described as a spectrum disorder because there is a very wide range of functional disorders in those having autism.
